Ex-Footballers' Wives star Gary Lucy welcomed his new child into the world last year, but allegations have since surfaced that he never sees the child he had with ex-partner Laura
Gary Lucy has blasted claims that he never sees the child he shares with Laura Anderson.
The Hollyoaks legend, 42, hit back at an online troll who had taunted him for not seeing his daughter, Bonnie, born last year. Gary slammed the allegations, and shared evidence to prove he is a vital part of her life.
Bonnie was born in October 2023, shortly after parents Gary and ex- Love Island star Laura Anderson broke up. The pair had first met on Channel 4 dating show Celebs Go Dating, and while it seemed there was chemistry between the two – the pair eventually fell out and called it quits.
Since then, Gary has kept himself under the parapet about his private life. However, this has not stopped ex-partner Laura from blasting him for not spending enough time with the 11-month-old.
This has only fuelled online hate from trolls, who have been going after the Footballers’ Wives star after Laura made her confession. Seemingly unable to take it anymore, Gary snapped at an online troll who launched an attack on the star after he shared a video of him and his kids.
On a post on his social media, the soap star uploaded a gorgeous clip of his son playing with the baby. The father-son duo were seen singing rhymes to her in the intimate clip, but the troll was having none of it, penning: “Funny you keep posting videos, but never see her.”
Gary could not keep his lips sealed and launched a tirade against the troll, shooting back: “Funny for you maybe. Just like your opinion, you’re irrelevant.”
The actor is a proud dad-of-five, with four of his kids being shared with his former wife Natasha Gray. As well as Bonnie, Gary is a father to India, born in 2005, Elvis, born in 2011, Sadie, who arrived in 2015, and Theodore, born in 2018.
Several of Gary’s fans also hit back at the troll, jumping to his defence – with one fan fuming: “You don’t know the circumstances of their relationship and the ins and outs; he’s a great dad to his other kids but you don’t question that. There’s honestly no need for your comment.”
A second user added: “Not a fair comment really is it. We don’t know anything about their lives or what goes on. It’s no one else’s business.”
The comments come after Laura fumed that Gary had not seen their child in six months. Making the claim back in June, Laura admitted to her followers: “He hasn’t since 2nd January; if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others,” followed by a kiss.
