Grace Black has made a big confession following Lexi Roscoe’s hospital scare in Hollyoaks.

Lexi’s father Freddie Roscoe and uncle Robbie Roscoe have been engaged in a legal battle for her custody since the show’s one-year jump.

Robbie looked after Lexi while Freddie served time in prison and now is concerned that her father isn’t capable of caring for her. He succeeded in getting his brother temporarily locked up after a recent fight.

In Tuesday’s (October 1) episode, Freddie was released from a jail cell to find out that Robbie had gained temporary custody of Lexi.

Robbie had turned to ex-girlfriend Vicky Grant to babysit Lexi while he handled a myriad of problems, yet this ultimately caused another headache for him.

While Lexi was home sick from school, she was shown hiding the medication she used to manage her epilepsy because it made her feel ill.

Freddie’s first stop after being released from custody was The Love Boat, where he had to break the news to Mercedes McQueen that he couldn’t get her the chemo drugs he’d promised.

Mercedes was devastated she’d have to find other means to get the drugs but assured Freddie she understood that he needed to put Lexi first.

Freddie would later find Lexi collapsed on the floor of The Loft. He called for emergency services, with Lexi admitting she’d had a seizure because she hadn’t taken her medication.

Robbie confronted Freddie and Grace at the hospital, accusing Freddie of being “the reason” Lexi developed epilepsy because he’d left her alone with Grace’s son Curtis “for hours”.

Freddie had previously left the children by themselves one day during Hollyoaks‘ lost year to visit Mercedes during her cancer treatment.

Freddie assumed that Lexi must have suffered a head injury that triggered her epilepsy. However, a cliffhanger in the latest episode confirmed there was more to the story.

Grace confided in Mercedes that Freddie doesn’t know the truth — her son Curtis shoved Lexi and seemingly caused her head injury.
