Neighbours resident hospitalised after devastating Halloween gas leak
Neighbours are lining up a dramatic gas leak storyline, that will leave one resident fearing for their life.
Which which local is responsible?
The Amazon Freevee soap will also explore Karl Kennedy’s (Alan Fletcher) anguish after daughter Holly’s (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) psych tests reveal she had a troubled childhood.
Elsewhere, Felix Rodwell (James Beaufort) makes a shocking offer to the Varga-Murphys, just as he makes amends with brother Andrew (Lloyd Will).
There’s devastation for Melanie Pearson (Lucinda Cowden) when Vic Stone (Craig Hall) reveals he’s rekindled his romance with ex-wife Jane Harris (Annie Jones).
Plus, a fun-filled Halloween celebration leads to a truly ghastly new housemate for the residents at No. 32. How will Byron Stone (Xavier Molyneux) get out of this one?
For a look ahead to another jam-packed week on Ramsay Street, here’s Metro.co.uk’s guide to all the action.
Monday, October 28
Following Holly’s psychological assessment, Susan (Jackie Woodburne) and Karl are concerned about the impact a custodial sentence could have on her. The report accredits her distress to a troubled childhood, implying that she’s grownup without any love or support.
Susan asks if she’d like to talk through it, but she pulls back and would rather consult Felix instead. That night, Holly sneaks out of the house and Karl is deeply concerned.
As he arrives at the tram, he finds her cuddled up with Felix asleep. The pair are startled when he wakes them up and slams the door.
Elsewhere, Vic can’t process Jane’s kiss and desire to rekindle their relationship. She rallies Aaron (Matt Wilson), Nicolette (Hannah Monson) and Byron together to deliver the shock news of the smooch – and they’re stunned to see her plant another kiss.
Melanie is devastated to hear from Vic, but covers her hurt and gives her blessing.
Meanwhile, Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has returned home from her secret bender and is taken aback to see her newly landscaped – and very bare – front garden. She sent the instructions by email whilst drunk, and the workman has followed her every word.
She quickly dismisses Susan’s concerns and claims she’s thrilled with the new look, and tells her that she had a great time visiting Piper and Tyler.
Leo (Tim Kano) hears about her getaway and the changes at No. 22 and informs Paul (Stefan Dennis), who is worried for his ex-wife…
Tuesday, October 29
Karl feels like a failed parent when Holly reveals she spent the night with Felix because he’s been helping her deal with panic attacks and the shock the psychological exam.
Paul grudgingly admires his parenting skills, and Holly assures him that the report didn’t outline all of the great things she loves about him and Izzy.
The Varga-Murphys are thrilled to hear that Cara’s (Sara West) fertility is looking good, but when Dex (Marley Williams) overhears them talking about selling their New York trip that they won in the Longest Lie-In competition, he presumes that his expensive uni course is breaking the bank.
In order to fund his own education, he applies for a job at Grease Monkeys and turns to Felix for advice ahead of his interview.
Off the back of the successful meeting, he impulsively invites Felix to dinner to celebrate Cara’s last day at uni. JJ (Riley Bryant) is thrilled to see Nell (Ayisha Salem-Towner) arrive after his mums reach out to Toadie, but the whole clan are shocked by Dex’s guest.
He explains that it’s about time they let go of their spite, and the night goes swimmingly – apart from an awkward moment where JJ spills to his dad that Remi and Cara are wanting to have another baby.
In a huge shock, Felix agrees to be the donor.
Nell returns to Terese’s house after the meal, but whilst she puts on a happy façade in front of her step-daughter, Paul notices a crack in her demeanour.
He decides to check in with Piper, but Aaron reveals that she’s been on holiday in Hawaii. Realisation crashes in – Terese was never in Adelaide.
With Nell in bed and having told Terese how proud she is of her, she crumbles and grabs another bottle of wine.

The Varga-Murphys are furious at Felix’s offer, and Remi asserts how inappropriate it was. However, when he explains to Cara how serious he was, she’s left with food for thought.
Andrew is floored to hear that Felix has tried to make amends, but can’t believe that he had the audacity to donate to them. Following a conversation with Remi, he reflects on his brother’s change in character and wonders whether he should invite him to stay at No. 26 in Wendy’s absence.
Elsewhere, a hungover Terese keeps up her Adelaide lie to Paul and snaps at Karl and Susan when she turns up late to an Eirini Rising woodworking class.
Besieged by problems, she blow sup and lets her rage flow when Paul confronts her about lying. She makes it clear that he wasn’t there when he needed her previously, and she’ll never need him again.
She reaches for another drink, and stumbles out of the retirement complex – damaging a gas pipe.
Pandemonium soon breaks loose, with Gino (Shane McNamara) working to save the residents from danger. Susan tries to contact Terese, but she’s passed out drunk.
Thursday, October 31
One local is rushed to hospital following the task leak, with Susan and Karl watching on in fear. Paul is employed to seek out Terese, and sadly finds her in a drunken state.
When she arrives to the wards, she lies to Karl and Susan about her absence – explaining that she took a strong sleeping pill. Later, she finds a car crashed into the gas metre at Eirini Rising and is determined to find out who did it… unaware that she is the culprit.
Paul realises the extend of his ex-wife’s drinking and offers to help cover it up.
Elsewhere, Cara consults Aaron about his donor process with Nicolette, and later goes to broach the subject with Remi.
At the share house, Sadie wants to go all-out for Halloween with a huge party to celebrate her short stay living there. Byron and Nic tell her they’re both working so she comes up with an ingenious plan to host a Sun-up Spooktacular during the day.
All of the Ramsay Street residents are on the guest list, and when they realise Vera (Sally Anne Upton) will likely complain about the noise they decide to extend the invitation to her.
