Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson overcomes pain – makes dramatic appearance transformation
Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson has unveiled a new hair transformation.
The actor has recently been spotted wearing a hat while playing Darren Osborne on the soap, and has now confirmed he has undergone a hair transplant.
“I’d noticed my hairline receding for years but kept delaying it,” Ashley explained. “Mainly because my friends who’d been abroad or to other clinics in the UK had bad experiences of pain, poor results and unnatural looking hairlines.”
The star added that he is “already looking forward to the results”, which can take up to a year, after having the transplant at the British Hair Clinic in Cheshire.
He also explained that Hollyoaks has accommodated filming around the new hairline, allowing him to do some scenes in a beanie hat.
Ashley isn’t the only soap star to undergo a hair transplant recently, with Coronation Street’s Colson Smith (Craig Tinker) revealing in July that he had a procedure.
“A transplant has been on my agenda since I first noticed my hair loss at the age 22!” he explained at the time.
“Losing my hair at such a young age has been a tough thing for me to come to terms with, I instantly feel SOOO much better and more confident that I’ve taken a step to getting back my luscious strawberry blonde locks.”
Colson added: “No more comb overs and baseball caps. Here’s to a future of having a cracking head of hair!”
In other news, Ashley recently paid tribute to Ellis Hollins (Tom Cunningham) following his co-star’s departure from Hollyoaks amid a cast reduction.
