Neighbours confirms worrying alcohol scenes for Terese Willis
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours favourite Terese Willis hits the bottle next week as she continues to struggle with the breakdown of her marriage.
The recovering alcoholic suffers a sad relapse as she finds it difficult to rebuild her life in the wake of Toadie Rebecchi’s departure.
Toadie left Erinsborough with his children Nell and Hugo last month, after deciding to call time on his marriage to Terese.
The lawyer had realised that he needed a fresh start away from Ramsay Street, acknowledging that he’d never fully processed his grief for his late wife Sonya and other past traumas.
Since Toadie has left, Terese has faced a tough time adjusting to an empty house and has felt the pull to potentially reconcile with her ex-husband Paul Robinson.
Next week, Terese confides in her friend Susan Kennedy that she’s tempted by Paul but isn’t going to go there.
Later, Terese crosses paths with Paul by chance following an emotional phone call from Nell, who’s homesick in Colac.
Paul offers Terese a comforting hug and she almost breaks her promise to keep him in the friend zone.
Shortly afterwards, Terese faces temptation of a different kind when a bottle of wine is left as a gift at Eirini Rising.
Terese manages to hold strong, but only until Susan lets slip to Paul that Terese may still have feelings for him.
Worried over where this will lead, Terese takes the bottle of wine home and starts drinking. With Terese off the wagon, how long will it take until her friends find out?
Neighbours airs these scenes on Monday, October 14.
