One of Netflix’s biggest international stars has joined the cast of a long-running Australian soap opera, as she revealed details about her role.
From the Sunset Strip to Ramsay Street, Chrishell Stause is joining the Australian cast of Neighbours.
The Netflix personality, who shot to fame on the hit property series Selling Sunset, has been announced as an upcoming guest star on Amazon’s reinvigorated chapter of the long-running soap opera.
“I am honoured and excited to join such a beloved and iconic show,” Stause said in a statement.
“Coming from the world of soaps in the US, it’s back to my first love in the entertainment industry. They pitched me an idea for a character, and I was immediately excited to figure out a way to make it happen. Ramsay Street here I come!”

Stause, 42, regularly spends time in Australia after marrying local musician G Flip last year.
She will play a new character, Yasmine “Yas” Shields, who the streamer described as a “glamorous and successful businesswoman in pursuit of an exciting new opportunity.”
While Stause has made herself known as a real estate agent for The Oppenheim Group, with Selling Sunset debuting in 2019, the Kentucky-born star started her career working on soap operas in the US, featuring regularly on shows including All My Children and Days of Our Lives.
Stause is the breakout star from Netflix’s Selling Sunset.
Neighbours Executive Producer Jason Herbison said producers were “thrilled” to have Stause join the cast.
“We created a character especially for her and we can’t wait for her to bring the storyline alive,” Herbison said.
“Expect intrigue and surprises – and many implications for the residents of Ramsay Street.”

The iconic TV show ended its 37-year run in July 2022 after its production company, Fremantle, failed to find it a new home.
However, just months after its star-studded finale aired, it was given a lifeline by Amazon Freevee and Prime Video, with production picking up again in Melbourne in early 2023.
The show relaunched with a bang in September, welcoming US actress Mischa Barton – of The O.C. fame – to the ensemble cast for 32 episodes.
New episodes of Neighbours premiere on Network 10 Monday to Thursday and are available on Prime Video in Australia seven days later.
