Dancing with the Stars fans rave over Bachelor franchise takeover with Jenn Tran and Joey Graziadei

The new season of Dancing With the Stars has arrived.

The hit dance competition premiered on Tuesday, September 17 with 13 celebrities contestants dancing away for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Viewers at home saw NBA player Dwight Howard, 90201 star Tori Spelling, The Traitors star Phaedra Parks, Family Matters star Reginald VelJohnson, former NFL star Danny Amendola, Olympic rugby medalist Ilona Maher, Disney star Chandler Kinney, Actor Eric Roberts, former Sports Illustrated model Brooks Nader, con artist Anna Delvey and Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik make their debut.

Usually only one person from the Bachelor franchise competes but this time The Bachelorette’s Jenn Tran and The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei are competing.

Joey set the tone and was first to perform. Him and his partner Jenna Johnson performed an impressive dance number that left viewers at home drooling when he took off his shirt. They received a seven from all three judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.

Fans raved over the franchise’s take over

Jenn performed later on, with support from former Bachelorette contestant Jonathon in the audience, who she is rumored to be dating after her fiancé, Devin, ended their engagement on the phone. She danced to Flowers by Miley Cyrus with her partner Sasha Farber. They received a total score of 19 after Carrie Ann gave a seven, while Bruno and Derek gave them a six.

Viewers at home could not believe that the former Bachelorette and Bachelor were competing on the same season of the dance competition. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “I love it when the Bachelor and Bachelorette stars succeed so well on #DWTS.” Another person wrote: “Jen! It’s so interesting to see the Bachelor and bachelorette this season.” A third user wrote: “I have never watched #DWTS before tonight but I am absolutely obsessed. JOEY AND JENN REPRESENTING BACHELOR NATION.” A fourth wrote: “Bachelor & Bachelorette showing out night one.”

Many other people from the Bachelor franchise appeared on Dancing with the Stars like, Hannah Brown, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Gabby Windey, Charity Lawson and others. Jenn revealed that she met Sasha at the airport the day of the After the Final Rose special and headed straight to Good Morning America in New York City for the dance competition contestant reveal.
