Happy birthday!
Bachelor Nation fans know that Becca Kufrin and Thomas Jacobs found love on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, the two have moved in together in San Diego, gotten married, and welcomed their son, Benny, together last year.
Recently, the Bachelor Nation parents shared a huge milestone with their followers — Benny taking his first steps with the help of Olympians Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles.
Now, Becca and Thomas are celebrating another big milestone: Benny’s first birthday!
Over the weekend Benny turned 1, and Becca shared a love note to her son online as she reflected on the past year.
Alongside a video highlighting various moments from their time as a family of three, she wrote, “On the eve of your first birthday, I can’t help but reminisce (and shed too many tears) over the amount of love you’ve showered upon me and your daddy.”
She continued, “When I was pregnant with you, I was worried I wouldn’t feel the special bond between a mother and her child. And boy, have I never been so wrong in my entire life. Because the minute you came into this world, you completed a piece of my soul that was never even missing in the first place.”
Becca goes on to share how Benny has affected her life over the past year.
She wrote, “You’ve given me purpose, selflessness, comfort, and so much joy in those little palms of yours. And I realize I was never whole until you. Only you, my Benny boo.”
The video showed lots of sweet moments between Becca, Thomas, and Benny, including Thomas holding Benny when he was a newborn inside his shirt.
Becca was careful to not show their son’s face in the video as she’s expressed in the past that she doesn’t feel the need to expose his face to people online.
The two parents also shared the meaning behind Benny’s name when they announced his birth a year ago and what it means to them.
They wrote, “Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin cracked our hearts wide open on September 21, 2023. No amount of words can begin to capture the amount of love and awe we have over this tiny man. We are forever changed with this one’s abundance and can’t believe we are parents to this gift.”

Becca went on, saying, “Benson, Benny for short, is after the town where my father was born and raised. Lee is for Thomas’s father who sacrifices so much for this country and others. And Jacobs Kufrin is pretty self explanatory but we wanted both parts of us to make this little one whole.”
Becca and Thomas decided to throw a duck-themed party for his first birthday, and the festivities were filled with a smash cake, cute decorations, and Benny wearing a little duck costume to celebrate.
We couldn’t be happier for Becca and Thomas on their adorable growing family. Benny is absolutely adorable and we can’t believe he’s already 1 year old.
