This week, Hannah Brown stopped by the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast to look back on her season of “The Bachelorette” with co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.
They discussed Night 1 and the limo arrivals from her cast and why fan favorite and finalist Tyler Cameron almost got sent home that night.
Hannah revealed why Tyler immediately raised some red flags, despite eventually making it to her final two men.
The former Bachelorette said, “The thing about Tyler, I thought he was drunk or something was wrong with him when we first met. I asked the producers to check on him. I thought there was something going on. I think he was just nervous. His eyes were like barely opened.”
Hannah went on, saying, “I was like, ‘Is this guy here with us? I’m not sure.’ Obviously he’s attractive and people always ask me about the top people that I ended up having connections with, but there wasn’t actually a connection with him the first night. I almost cut him. It’s hard to get your time and there is so much going on. I was just like, ‘Is this guy serious?’”
Hannah said she later felt more connected to Tyler when he was less nervous.
We’re glad she ended up keeping him and didn’t send him home right away!
Hannah also opened up about how grateful she was to the show for allowing her to be her full authentic self throughout her entire Bachelorette journey.
She said, “I think the show catered to my strengths and allowed me to be myself. They gave me a little room to flex and to figure things out and to mumble through it and to say the wrong thing. They always would say how I would think when I talked and so it would take me a second, but I would finally get there.”
Hannah added, “Before me, it felt like the Bachelorettes always had a perfect answer and knew exactly what to say and did the right thing, but they just allowed me to be myself. I am genuinely so thankful for that. If they had tried to rein me in somehow, it would have been really bad. That is not what I am good at. I am not an actress at all. If you want Hannah, that’s what I’m good at. If you want me to play a character, it’s probably not going to work.”
