Love is in the air!
Bachelor Nation fans got to know Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor,” and they’ve been keeping fans updated with their dating lives since the show on their “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast.
The ladies are always telling people to slide into their DMs, and this week, someone did just that!
While they were recording an episode of the pod, Susan surprised Kathy with a secret listener question that Kathy hadn’t heard about.
The fan wrote in to ask Kathy out on a date!
A man named “Papa Lou” wrote in, saying, “This question is mainly for Kathy. She has mentioned on previous podcasts that no one has taken her up on asking her out on a date, but Papa Lou wouldn’t mind telling the world that I’d like to at least try.”
He went on, sharing, “I’ll be 69 in September and I am a widower since January 2023. My wife and I were married for 43 wonderful years and had no children except for two pups. I’d be happy to send current photos and yes, they’re all untouched, it’s really me. I’ve slowly gotten back into dating a little, though I’m rusty at this, I feel confident enough to get back into this.”
Papa Lou shared that he is a pianist and organist who owns his own home outright with no debt.
He said his house is “too big for just one person” and is ready to meet his match.
Kathy was caught completely off guard and flattered and responded to Papa Lou during the episode.
