Bachelor Nation fans got to know Lexi Young on Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” where she opened up to Joey Graziadei about her journey with endometriosis.
Lexi eventually decided to self-eliminate from the show because she and Joey were on different timelines when it came to having kids.
Since her time on “The Bachelor,” Lexi has shared more about having stage 5 endo and how it impacts her even after having surgery.
This week, she took to her Instagram Stories to share updates about her condition and information on her dating life in a new Q&A.
A fan asked how she’s been doing with her endo and she said, “Thank you for asking! I can’t believe it’s almost been a year since I froze my eggs. My endo is truly so unpredictable and has been pretty bad recently. I’ve been stressed and exhausted, which doesn’t help. I am currently in the place of trying to decide when to have my next surgery.”
Lexi went on, “I am actually seeing my endo surgeon later this week! I will continue to share my journey as it’s not the most seamless and easy thing to navigate while being single and in my 30s!”
And speaking of being single, Lexi also shared some dating tips.
The Bachelor Nation star said, “I have had my fair share of dating experiences in my 20s and now 30s. Here’s what I’ve learned… Find someone who gets excited about the same things that you do. Make sure you can be 100% yourself around them. Trust your gut, it’s always right.”
Lexi added, “Give people a chance, some of my best dates were with people that I wasn’t excited about before meeting them. There is no right person, wrong time. If two people love each other, you can make anything work. When you think it’s over, write yourself notes in your notes app, and text screenshots to friends — end it.”
Another fan asked her what her favorite part of being on “The Bachelor” was and Lexi said, “Meeting so many amazing women and finding a love and acceptance for myself that I didn’t know was possible!”
We love that and we love hearing from Lexi! We know that her continuing to share her story will help so many others with similar struggles.
