Stephanie McIntosh is returning to Neighbours

Another iconic Neighbours character is returning to Ramsay Street— and this time it’s Sky Mangel!

The character, played by Jason Donovan’s half-sister Stephanie McIntosh, will return to the show that made her a star in the months to come, reuniting with her on-screen grandfather, Harold Bishop, played by Ian Smith.

The iconic series, which returned to screens last year after it was famously cancelled in 2022, made the huge announcement via their social media page, writing, “Hot on the heels of Harold… Sky will be dropping by to visit her dear old grandad.

“But what else has brought her back to Erinsborough?”

The news was met with immediate glee from enthusiastic fans, eager to find out what had become of thebeloved character in the years since Sky left Erinsborough in 2007.

“My fave Ramsay Street person. Sky had SASS beyond her years!! “ one fan wrote, while another added, “guess I’m getting back in to (the show).”

This is not the first time McIntosh has reprised her role — her character was last seen in 2020, when she married Lana Crawford and returned to investigate Finn Kelly’s (Rob Mills) death, but popped up again in 2022 in a video montage screened at Toadie and Melanie’s wedding during the show’s finale.

Her return comes a month after the show announced it would be bringing back the iconic character of Harold Bishop, played by Ian Smith, who famously starred on the long-running soap from 1987 to 1991.

He had also returned before, once in 1996 and again in 2009, in a guest capacity — this time he’s back for good.

There is no on-air date for Sky’s return as yet — watch this space.
